At least 141 people, most of them students as young as 12, have been killed and at least 140 others injured in a Taliban seizure of a military-run school in the city of Peshawar, Pakistan, according to provincial authorities.
Gunmen stormed a military school located in a heavily guarded area of Peshawar, killing 132 students and a staff of nine, while many others to infringe, said military spokesman. Medics fear that the death toll could rise as many injuries were serious.
