KARACHI, Jan 21 (INPW): The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested 11 most wanted terrorists of Al-Qaeda and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) during separate actions here on Thursday besides recovering arms, hand grenades and explosives material from their possession. Incharge CTD Ali Raza said that operations were conducted against the wanted terrorists across the metropolis city during which 11 Al-Qaeda and LeJ linked terrorists were apprehended.
The CTD took into custody an explosives laden auto-rickshaw, several hand grenades, heavy automated weapons, bomb making material and thousands of bullets recovered from the possession of the nabbed terrorists wanted by the security personnel in several cases of terrorism, target killings and others crimes. Ali Raza said that the detainees were planning to attack an important government building situated at Shara-e-Faisal Karachi but timely action of CTD foiled the bid. The detainees have been shifted to undisclosed location for investigation and sources said that important revelations and more arrests were expected.
