HANGU, Jan 09 (INP): At least 42 persons including proclaimed offenders (POs) and Afghan nationals were arrested along with arms during search operation in different areas of Hangu on Friday. District Police Office (DPO) Anwar Saeed Kundi said that the police conducted search operation in Sarakdana, Gul Bagh, Spin Khawari and adjoining areas of Hangu. Heavy contingent of police belonging to various police stations of the district participated in the search operation in which 32 Afghan nationals, four proclaimed offenders among 42 were nabbed. Police recovered arms including Kalashnikovs, shotguns, pistols, hundreds of rounds and explosives from the possession of the detained culprits. DPO Anwar Saeed said that fool proof security arrangements were being made in the district and a mechanism has also been chalked out for security of private educational institutions. He said that all Afghan nationals serving in different private institutions especially as security guards have been sacked and heads of the educational and other institutions have been directed to acquire services of local services. The DPO Hangu said that operation against outlaws will continue till flushing out trouble makers and complete restoration of peace in the district.
